Have gotten smarter with that technology and how VS and the server interact, but then again I only deal with the server when issues like this arise. I have downloaded the extensions and installed them on the server, however I don't see any option in the IIS7 control panel to do anything with the extensions or settings so I'm still getting the same error.Īlso, as a side note, why has this been an on going issue with Visual Studio, Servers and well, Microsoft? Developers (that's me) write our webs locally with VS, but why has web publishing been so painful and an ongoing issue? I would think Microsoft would However when I try to publish remotely from another machine to the server, of course the message, 'Front2 extensionsÄon't appear to be installed' comes up. I can publish with no issue directly on the machine this is visual studio to the local web server installed on the server itself. ![]() ![]() I'm having an issue publishing from VS2008 to my Web Server 2008.
